Emma Richardson paints large-scale abstract works full of emotion and drama. In this episode, she talks about balancing art with music, co-founding the rock group Band of Skulls while at art school, why she left it to concentrate on an art career, how her art took an abstract direction that was refined by a TURPS course, how she came to join the American band Pixies, how she expresses raw emotions such as desire, sexuality and transcendent experiences and the process with which she paints them.
