Considering Art Podcast – Nick Williams, figurative painter of mystery and magic realism

Nick Williams is a Cornwall-based artist whose figurative oil paintings are rich in colour, texture and narrative. In this episode, he talks about his tropical-style garden, his difficult education, what drew him back to painting after a succession of interim jobs, the tale of his successive studios and their toll on his mental health, the themes of his artworks and what inspires them, the importance of narrative and mystery in his paintings and the way he processes them.
