Melanie Miller is a Cornwall-based still life painter of nature. In this episode, she talks about her suburban background, how nostalgia, memory and legend influence her works, how she used to paint detritus and everyday items, how she collects objects from nature as part of her practice, how she is fascinated by moths, why she paints nocturnal scenes and how she has developed a ceramic practice mainly using the Raku process.
