Sarah Kogan is an abstract painter whose swirling and multi-textured works have earned her an international reputation. In this episode, she talks about her family background in north London, training in abstract expressionist techniques, her installation Changing the Landscape based on letters sent home by her great uncle from the trenches in World War I, and how subsequent exhibitions have centred on the body both in terms of her process, and the connection between art and science.
